3 Tips for Writing Your Instagram Business Bio

10th December 2018

Your Instagram business bio is your chance to explain who you are and what you do. It should also show your brand’s personality and inspire people to follow you. Your bio is the first thing that people see when they visit an Instagram account, so you need to get creative and grab their attention. Creating an engaging bio will give you the best shot of attracting new customers to your business.

So how do you do this? Read on for our top three tips…

Tip 1: Your name

The name and username fields are the only parts of your Instagram profile that are included in Instagram searches. This means that in the name section of your bio, it is a good idea to include an important keyword, along with your brand name, to help people discover your account.

Tip 2: Try to convey your unique brand voice and personality.

When you are writing your Instagram business bio, try to remember to be human and not too corporate. You want users to be able to relate to you and see who is behind your brand.

Tip 3: Include a call to action.

Give visitors a clear direction of what you want them to do after visiting your profile. If your goal is to build up your followers, then your call to action might be simply to ask visitors to follow your feed.

Most business bios include a call of action to visit their website. In this case, make sure that your call to action matches your clickable link in your bio.
