1st March 2022

Social media creates a space for brands to communicate with their customers. The platforms are great for building brand identity and reinforcing core company values. Something that means more to customers now than it has ever done before. Research conducted in 2020 found that value alignment is a key deciding factor for 71% of consumers. This is particularly true for millennials as the figure rises to 83% for the demographic. Here are a few tips that we’ve created to help you with your CSR social media campaigns.

Create Content to Spread Awareness

As a business with a social media presence your voice is powerful. You have an audience that appreciates your presence and what you have to say. Infographics can go a long way. They can help you to educate others and increase awareness for charitable causes that need help gaining traction.

Instagram Story Stickers

As with all content it should be shareable and making sure that it is so can help you to maximise the effectiveness of your campaign. You can create story stickers to boost engagement and awareness in a similar way to how “Stay at Home” and “Vaccinated” stickers were popularised during the height of the pandemic.

Reflect on Internal Efforts

There may be things that you have been doing in the background to make life a little easier for your staff. Shedding light to them over on your socials can help you to show your followers what means most to you and that you’re a business with heart. Whether that be flexible working for parents or support for those from disadvantaged communities to even the playing field.

Stay Connected

Social media allows us to hear about news as it happens. Social listening can help you stay in tune with the things that matter to your audience and create meaningful ways to help. A great example of this is how EE took to social media over the weekend to announce that all calls being made to loved ones in Ukraine will be made free in light of recent world events. An honourable move that undoubtedly helped dozens of customers and leveraged trust.

Take Part in Blog Action Day
